Kyla is the granddaugher of our friends Debbie and Duane. She's also terribly spoiled by Grandma.

So last month we went down to take some pics of this little nugget. I wanted to take her home, but grandma (and mom and dad) wouldn't let me. What's up with that?

Meet Kade

You should meet Kade. This is how he looks ALL THE TIME! Tons of smiles, and Daddy can make him *laugh* really big. Taking his picture was EASY!

I got an opportunity to try out my new (old) baby doll carriage that I got for a whopping $16.50 antique shopping. FYI, we saw a similar one this weekend not as cute for $240!!

I also finally found a little guy to put into my giant teacup. He just barely fit. He also seized the opportunity to chew on his toes.

Selective coloring does not make you popular in some photography circles but I DON'T CARE! I so much love how cute this photo is. It wasn't my favorite when I started (It's grainy so I totally ran with the grainy theme and made it more grainy lol), now I love how those eyes just pop.

Thanks for being such a good boy Kade. You can come live with me any time you want. Well, as long s you are smiley and sweet, then it's back to mom. :p

Meet Kooper - a toe head blond

Meet Kooper.

He's a little toe-head blond, and also the great-nephew of one of my high school BFFs. Honestly, I'm 100% sure that had nothing to do with it, but you know, I can never let one of those references go.

I had intended on sharing some photos from Kristin and Jake's wedding, and have a ton done, but I'm not finished yet even tho I worked on it ALL DAY LONG. (this one is kicking my rear!) so I thought I'd take a break from it, share some cute baby pics instead and finish up tomorrow... I hope or I might have to shoot myself.

This image really brought out my incredible blond roots. You see, I had to literally write Kooper, FIVE TIMES before I got it right. I think his mom thought I was a dork... because I WAS! I swear Tara I'm usually not quite so special as I was that morning, but the K totally threw me off.

Kooper's dad is a cop, as is his grandpa, and as was his great grandpa. We drove up to the sheriff's department and took photos outside by the brick walls.

Did I ever tell you that I used to spend the night at the jail? No really. Kooper's Aunt Shellie's family (the sheriff) used to live upstairs from the Sheriff's Dept. We'd spend the night and play in the jail if it was empty... or make a point of passing the jail door if it wasn't (a taunt I suppose lol.. woohoo.. I'm free you're not! neener)

Anyway, back to Kooper... he makes that super cute "OMG!" look every time he sees a truck. This is a boy's boy right here.

And to prove it, here's Kooper playing with a rock. Rocks and balls make this kid happy. Oh... and trucks.

Shortly after this photo, he decided to store it in the only pocket he had. His diaper. I say it's better than finding earthworms and hot wheels in there, don't you agree?

More photos of Kooper soon, but in the meantime I'm off to bed with more pics to share tomorrow. I hope, or you're allowed to string me up.

Baby Sarah - Missouri Newborn Photographer

I have finished editing the photos I did of baby Sarah. She was about 10 days old when we did this shoot. Very happy with the photos after all the editing was done!

I had a ton of props I wanted to use, but only had time to use a couple, my favorite being this funny square/diamond basket.

She loved this snuggie, it kept her asleep to take quite a few pics. It's handmade from a thrift store find scarf!

This is Laura's brand new bedroom set that she is so proud of, I couldn't resist the tiny baby vs. the ginormous bed shot!

I promised a couple photos. Here is little Francesca Perkins. 6 pounds 18.5 inches. About 12 hours old.

This is my first real shot at baby photos and the light was horrible. I've promised Stacy I'd take some more over the next couple weeks. Told her we needed to get home, great light and get that baby naked LOL.
